Emilio Alvarado joined the Muhlenberg women’s soccer coaching staff for the 2021 season.
Alvarado has had a passion for soccer from a young age and played soccer at Allentown Central Catholic High School. His team went on to win districts in 2012. After high school, Alvarado attended St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. During his time there, he strengthened his desire for a career in soccer management and returned to the Lehigh Valley to fulfill it.
The first teams he coached were the varsity and junior varsity boys soccer teams at Allentown Central Catholic High School during their summer league season in 2018. That same summer, Alvarado began working with Perfect Touch Soccer, teaching the game to children. He still currently works there.
In 2020, the opportunity arose for Alvarado to be a part of the coaching staff for Allentown United’s first team, and he served as the assistant coach for the U23s team. He worked with this men’s team until 2021.
