football tackle vs. Gettysburg 2023Last Year: Muhlenberg forced five turnovers in the rain in a 41-13 win at Gettysburg, scoring two touchdowns off turnovers in a span of 56 seconds to break open a close game in the second quarter. The Bullets returned a blocked punt for a touchdown early in the second quarter to close to within 13-6 and got the ball back with a chance to tie or take the lead after forcing Muhlenberg to punt. But on the first play after the punt, Matt Papa forced a fumble that was recovered by a teammate, and the Mules scored a touchdown three plays later. Gettysburg fumbled an attempted lateral on the ensuing kickoff, and Marcus McClaine dove on the ball at the Bullet 12. Muhlenberg scored again in another three plays to make it 28-6. Gettysburg’s only other TD came on an 80-yard pass in the final five minutes.
