Despite winning only one match, the Muhlenberg volleyball team missed going 3-0 in its quad match at Arcadia by only a handful of points.
The Mules (1-3) began the two-day event by falling in three sets to the host school, 25-22, 29-27, 26-24. It was the first time since 2009 that Muhlenberg played a three-set match in which all the sets were decided by three points or fewer.
Muhlenberg came back on the second day to sweep Bard, 25-12, 25-20, 25-21, then did something it didn't all last year - play a five-set match. The Mules pulled out the fourth set against Catholic but fell in the fifth, 15-7.
