The Muhlenberg women's soccer team proved to be ready for prime time, winning 1-0 at Elizabethtown in a game whose start time was moved to 8:15 due to a field availability issue.
Junior
Reilly Sullivan scored the lone goal of the game midway through the first half, receiving a pass from junior
Rose Larner, taking a touch, and firing the ball inside the far post from the corner of the box. It was the fourth career goal for Sullivan
(pictured above).
The Mules (4-2-1) made the goal stand up despite playing without three of their regular starters. Sophomore
Ava Hartle and freshman
Emma Burns each made her first career start and contributed to the shutout win.
In her 27th career start, senior
Megan Stairs notched her first career shutout. She made 5 saves, including one at close range in the first half just a few minutes after Muhlenberg took the lead and another tough one off a corner kick in the second half.
