Muhlenberg athletes are spending the summer of 2026 enjoying fantastic experiences on campus, in their hometowns, across the country, and even around the world.
This Summer Check-In comes with a big smile. Senior volleyball player Chloe Gaglione, a biology major, prepared for her career by working as a dental assistant on Long Island.
This summer I am working at Philip Tornatore DDS as a dental assistant.
Since I was young, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. When I was offered this job, I knew it would be a great opportunity to gain a lot of experience and become familiar with the field. At this job I get to meet so many interesting patients and help be a resource for them during anxiety-inducing appointments.
Muhlenberg definitely helped me succeed in this position because I have to follow specific procedures for each appointment that are very similar to the lab procedures I have followed all throughout my time in the chemistry and biology labs. My experience at Muhlenberg also has helped me have excellent attention to detail, which translates to success in a real clinical environment.
I have also been playing in a few volleyball tournaments as I prepare for my final season on the Muhlenberg volleyball team. I want to shout out coach Mike from Muhlenberg Strength and Conditioning for creating an amazing summer packet for me to follow that will help me succeed in the upcoming season.
