Volleyball Announces Trio of Newcomers

The Muhlenberg volleyball program has added three new players to its roster for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, head coach Rob McVicker announced Thursday.

The class includes libero Natalie Ma, middle/outside hitter Eva Myers, and outside hitter/defensive specialist Lizzie Steinkamp. Like McVicker's previous few recruiting classes, the trio hails from all over the United States; Ma is from North Carolina, Myers is from New Jersey, and Steinkamp is from Arizona.

"We are very excited to add Natalie, Eva, and Lizzie to the team," McVicker said of the newcomers. "We feel they can make an impact both on and off the court!"

The group will be tasked with helping replace 2026 seniors Camila Leyes and Christina Marcin, the latter of whom finished her career as one of just three players in program history to tally at least 135 aces, 800 digs, and 950 kills.

NATALIE MA
L | 5'5
Greensboro, N.C./Bishop McGuinness Catholic

Academic Interest: Biology (Pre-Med)
About Ma: Ma raked in the team and conference honors as an upperclassman at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. The libero nabbed all-conference honors and was named her team's most outstanding defensive player in both seasons, in addition to earning the conference's defensive player of the year award as a senior.

In her free time, Ma enjoys staying active, being with friends and family, and being outdoors. Her future plans include going to medical school and becoming an audiologist.

Why Muhlenberg?:  "I chose Muhlenberg because I really valued the emphasis on academics while still being in a competitive athletic environment. I also really enjoyed watching the team and the connections they have made with each other and other athletes."

Academic Interests: Accounting, Finance
About Myers: The five-foot-eleven Myers has made her impact at the net, especially during her final season at Pascack Hills. She was named first team all-league and was an All-Bergen County Honorable Mention in 2025 and swatted her way to a crisp 0.300 hitting percentage. She also earned all-league honors as a sophomore. On the club circuit, Myers played for USANY under coaches Rob Crispi and Maria Anderson for four seasons.

Off the court, she enjoys working out, swimming, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. Myers aspires to be an auditor in the field of accounting.

Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg because of its amazing academics, the warm and welcoming environment I felt from the moment I stepped on campus, and the opportunity to continue playing volleyball in a very competitive conference at the next level."

She also took home the 3A Central region's Offensive Player of the Year award as a senior. Steinkamp contributed defensively as well, finishing with over 1000 career kills and digs.
