The Muhlenberg Mules took the court for the final time in 2025 and fell in straight sets at No. 10 Johns Hopkins Saturday afternoon.
The Mules kept pace with the nationally-ranked Blue Jays through much of the first set, even holding a 17-16 advantage before a late Hopkins run turned the bout in favor of the hosts. Sets two and three displayed similar fight from the underdog Mules but it wasn't enough to nab a win in the end.
Christina Marcin was a bright spot for Muhlenberg, finishing with 11 kills to just three errors. The senior also added three total blocks and 11 digs to nab her seventh double-double of the season and third in a row. The three blocks also represent a season high. She's been on a hot streak to close out her collegiate tenure, totaling nine or more kills in 10 straight matches and averaging 14.2 putaways per match during that stretch. She will finish her career with 958 kills, which ranks 10th in program history.
Jenny Ryan paced Muhlenberg with 19 assists while chipping in three kills.
Maddy Budris totaled 15 digs to lead the team, and
Abigail Oswari finished with seven kills.
