Muhlenberg sophomore shortstop
Sean Habeeb was selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division III All-Region V second team.
Habeeb had a breakout season for the Mules, starting every game, hitting a team-best .406, and leading the team in hits (56), runs scored (42), and stolen bases (17). Despite batting leadoff for most of the season, he also was third on the team in RBI (27) as well as doubles (7) and walks (21).
An All-Centennial Conference second-team selection, Habeeb ranks sixth in the league in batting average. His runs total is tied for the sixth best in a single season in program history, while his hits figure is tied for ninth. Habeeb also helped turn 21 double plays from shortstop.
Habeeb is the first Muhlenberg shortstop ever to earn all-region recognition. The Mules have placed at least one player on the all-region team in five of the last eight seasons.
