Muhlenberg junior
Emma Youngling and senior
Abba Diglio earned spots on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Metro Region team.
It's the third consecutive season that the Mules have had two members make the all-region squad.
Youngling was a first-team selection - the first for the Mules since 2017 and only the sixth in program history. The Centennial Conference midfielder of the year led Muhlenberg in scoring with 73 points on 54 goals and 19 assists. She also recorded a team-leading 108 draw controls - the third-highest single-season total in program history - and was second on the Mules with 16 caused turnovers.
Youngling recorded 10 hat tricks during the season, with a high of eight goals at Ursinus, and became only the third Muhlenberg player to have a game with double digits in points and a game with double digits in draw controls in the same season. She ranks 25th in Division III in draw controls per game and will enter her senior season with career totals of 140 goals, 37 assists, and 222 draw controls (sixth on the team's all-time chart).
Diglio received second-team all-region recognition after starting every game for a defense that set a school record by allowing only 7.88 goals per game. She tied for the team lead in ground balls (34) and led the Mules with 20 caused turnovers, 15 of which came in Centennial Conference games. Diglio also took most of Muhlenberg's draws and recorded 88 draw controls, helping the Mules rank in the top 10 in Division III in both draw controls per game (seventh) and draw control percentage (10th).
Diglio ranks third in program history with 266 career draw controls, also finishing with seven goals and five assists.
Muhlenberg had an outstanding season in 2026, ending with a record of 12-5 and earning a national ranking after posting wins against two nationally ranked opponents (Rowan and The College of New Jersey). In addition to setting the record for fewest goals allowed per game, the Mules set a new standard by scoring 261 goals. They narrowly missed out on a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
