Senior goaltender
Jace Riley Day has been named Centennial Conference defensive player of the week after a lockdown performance in the Mules' 12-8 win at No. 17 Washington College this weekend.
Day made 19 saves while allowing only eight goals, the most by a Muhlenberg goalie in a Centennial Conference win since 2009. He made 11 of his saves in the second half, when the Mules were outshot by a 28-18 margin. In the fourth quarter, which started with Muhlenberg clinging to an 8-7 lead, Day stopped six shots while allowing just one goal, with five of the saves coming on potential game-tying shots. It was the senior's most saves in a win this season, and the second most overall.
It's the first weekly conference award for the senior in his career, and the third for a Muhlenberg men's lacrosse player this season.
