Playing a Division I team for the first time since 2010, the Muhlenberg baseball team kept it very respectable in a 5-1 loss.
The Mules (1-2) trailed only 3-1 and had the tying runs on base in the sixth and seventh innings before the Mountain Hawks (3-6) scored twice in the bottom of the eighth.
Senior
Joseph Stern, making his first appearance in three years, started and allowed just one earned run and two hits while striking out four in three innings. Freshmen

Zack Silberstein both threw a scoreless frame in their collegiate debuts.Â
Muhlenberg scored its lone run in the sixth on a two-out RBI single by sophomore
Marty Edson, bringing in freshman
Matthew Lehberger, who had led off with a double.
Sophomore
Marius Haughton went 2-for-5 from the leadoff spot, while sophomore
Thomas Rorick (pictured above) contributed two walks and a sacrifice.
