The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team fell to the visiting Swarthmore Garnet 16-6 in its first Centennial Conference contest of the season.
The Garnet jumped all over the Mules early, scoring 10 unanswered goals over the course of the first half to take complete control of the game. Muhlenberg got on the scoreboard for the first time in the form of
Daniel Friedel a couple minutes into the third quarter.
Michael Drago (

The senior's first goal came off of a faceoff at the start of the fourth quarter. Drago won the draw, spun between two Swarthmore defenders, and blitzed towards the net, where he fired a shot past the keeper for his third tally of the season. Later in the fourth, Drago drove towards the net amongst a sea of defenders and, while being knocked to the ground by a member of the Garnet, ripped a shot that snuck past the goalie for his second score of the day. Its the first multi-goal game of the senior's career.
Luc Belvill also had a pair of goals, while
Chase Kusko added two more assists to his ledger.
