The Muhlenberg women's soccer team had a challenging Centennial Conference schedule in the first full week of October, taking on two of the top teams in the region.
On Wednesday, the Mules (4-6-2, 0-4-1) traveled to Swarthmore, ranked second in Region V and 15th in Division III, and suffered a 5-0 loss.
Muhlenberg fared better when it returned home to face McDaniel, ranked fourth in the region and receiving votes in the national poll. The teams were deadlocked until the final 10 minutes, until the Green Terror put in a long shot for the lone goal in a 1-0 game.
