Women's Basketball Falters Against No. 5 Johns Hopkins

The Muhlenberg women's basketball team lost to the undefeated no. 5 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays 72-36 Saturday afternoon.

The Mules stuck with their nationally ranked foes throughout the first half. A Katie McGrath three-pointer courtesy of Mia Fitzgerald in the last few ticks of the second quarter made the score 30-25 entering the break. Freshman point guard Linzy Roberson had a large part in that first half effort, pouring in 11 points while missing just one shot. On the other end, Muhlenberg stifled the opposition at nearly every turn during the second period; the Blue Jays shot just 2-of-18 while turning the ball over eight times in the quarter.

It was a different story over the next 10 minutes, however, as the Blue Jays went on a 25-3 run to put the game out of reach.
