The Muhlenberg women's basketball team led for most of the second half but faltered down the stretch and lost at home to Washington College, 59-53.
The Mules (7-8, 2-3) overcame an early eight-point deficit to take a seven-point lead late in the first half. They entered the fourth quarter up by three points and extended it back up to seven, at 50-43, with 6:15 remaining.
Muhlenberg did not make a field goal for the rest of the game, however. The Shorewomen (7-9, 2-4) took the lead with a 10-0 run and went 6-for-6 from the line in the final 27.1 seconds to salt away the win.

Veronica Dawson (pictured above) added 10 apiece.

Katie McGrath finished with 9 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, one off her career high.
