The Muhlenberg women's basketball team led for most of the second half but faltered down the stretch and lost at home to Washington College, 59-53.

The Mules (7-8, 2-3) overcame an early eight-point deficit to take a seven-point lead late in the first half. They entered the fourth quarter up by three points and extended it back up to seven, at 50-43, with 6:15 remaining.

Muhlenberg did not make a field goal for the rest of the game, however. The Shorewomen (7-9, 2-4) took the lead with a 10-0 run and went 6-for-6 from the line in the final 27.1 seconds to salt away the win.

Freshman Linzy Roberson led the Mules with 14 points, while senior Avery McNulty and sophomore Veronica Dawson (pictured above) added 10 apiece. 

Senior Katie McGrath finished with 9 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, one off her career high.
