The Muhlenberg field hockey team continued the Centennial Conference portion of its schedule with a 2-0 loss at the hands of Haverford Tuesday evening.
The Mules played most of the first half in the opposition's end, but two breakaways were their undoing. The Fords made the most of both of those opportunities and emerged from the second quarter with a two-goal advantage.
Muhlenberg's best chances to get on the board came late in the fourth quarter. The Mules had three penalty corners in the final three minutes that resulted in a shot on net by
Danielle Kapsak and a shot that was blocked by
Erin DiSandro.
Junior
Reece Montano checked in at the end of the game to cap off an emotional night during which the team honored her late mother.
