The Muhlenberg men's soccer team played to a 2-2 tie at Neumann, remaining undefeated at 3-0-2 on the season.
Senior
Omar Lopez opened the scoring for the Mules in the 15th minute, taking a pass from freshman
Daniel Ariza in the center of the field and firing the ball on the ground past the Neumann goalie from outside the box for his second goal of the season.
The Knights (2-2-1) tied the score early in the second half, but Muhlenberg needed less than four minutes to go back up top, this time off a free kick that went off the head of Neumann back and fell to the feet of Ariza, who blasted it in for his third goal.
Neumann came back again to tie and had good chances to win in the closing minutes, only to be turned away by senior
Ben Mulford, who finished with eight saves.
The
regionally ranked Mules are undefeated through five games for the third time in the last 10 years. They started 4-0-1 in 2021 and 5-0-1 in 2019.
