The Muhlenberg volleyball team opened its 2025 season with an impressive 3-0 sweep of the host team in the opening round of the DeSales Invitational.
The win was the first for the Mules at the home of their Lehigh Valley rivals since 2003, and their first sweep at DeSales since 1994.
Christina Marcin opened her senior season on a strong note, knocking down 17 kills while making only three errors. Junior
Natalia Agnolet recorded 7 kills, while sophomore
Abigail Oswari finished with 6 to go along with career highs of 14 digs and 5 aces.Â

Chloe Gaglione also set a career high in digs, pulling up 19, while sophomore
Ansley Asche finished with 16 assists, three off her career best.

Jenny Ryan, gave the Mules an early 5-1 lead, and they stayed ahead the rest of the first set, winning 25-21.
Muhlenberg led only 19-18 in the second set but pulled away late, scoring six of the final seven points, with Oswari contributing a pair of aces and Agnolet finishing off the set with a kill.Â
Back-to-back aces by Oswari extended an 8-7 advantage to 10-7 in the third set, and the Mules closed out the sweep with a 25-18 win. Senior
Camila Leyes finished off the match by serving the final four points, the last two on aces.
Freshman
Andrea Romero-Agosto sparkled in her collegiate debut, recording 5 kills in only eight attempts.
