The Muhlenberg men's golf team shot its low round of the year on the first day of the DeSales Spring Classic.
The Mules had three players in the 70s in the first round and finished with a team score of 314. They slipped to 331 on the second day and finished ninth out of 13 teams.
Junior
Alex McCauley matched his low score of the year in the first round, shooting a 74. It was the second consecutive tournament in which he opened with a 74. McCauley ended with a 36-hole total of 155, tying for 18th out of 66 golfers. He was 2-under-par on par-five holes, recording birdies on three of them (1 and 12 the first day and 16 the second day).
Senior
Joe Repetti shot a career-low 75 in the first round, recording three birdies. He finished at 158, shooting a birdie on the par-4 second hole in both rounds.
Junior
Charlie Kerprich (pictured above) was one of the most consistent players in the classic, making par on 24 of the 36 holes, just one off the tournament lead. He birdied the par-4 11th hole in the second round en route to a two-day total of 161.
Freshman
Justin Edwards birdied the par-3 13th hole on the first day and the par-4 14th hole on the second day.
