The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team lost at 13th-ranked Swarthmore, 16-6, in its Centennial Conference opener.
The Mules (4-6, 0-1) trailed 6-1 after one quarter but shut out the Garnet (8-2, 1-1) in the second period, forcing seven turnovers and allowing only four shots. Goals by sophomores

Daniel Friedel brought Muhlenberg to within 6-3 at halftime.
Swarthmore scored the first five goals of the third quarter, however, to pull away.
Freshman
Paul Salerno netted his first career goal in transition in the fourth quarter to close out the Mules' scoring.
