Christina Marcin's 25-kill, .400 hitting percentage outing against McDaniel has earned her Centennial Conference offensive player of the week honors for the first time in her career.
The senior totaled 39 kills over two matches last week and hit .388 overall. First, she totaled 14 kills in four sets at Dickinson, including the 900
th of her collegiate tenure. Marcin then saved the best for last, leading the Mules to a four-set victory over the Green Terror on November 1 by matching a career-high with 25 putaways. The only time that she had done that previously was on October 28, 2023 against Washington College. She's the only Mule to reach 25 kills in a match since 2004.
Marcin's also saved the best for last in her collegiate career. She's already set a career-high with 271 kills and 218 digs, and is on pace to match or exceed her most sets played in a season. She's currently sixth in the conference in kills and fourth in points per set at 3.86. During the next week, she could move into 10
th in the program's annals in kills, as she's now got 929; that's just five away from Dana Ferrelli, who totaled 934.
