Anna May's score in the 29th minute was the difference as the Muhlenberg women's soccer team took down the McDaniel Green Terror 1-0 to secure its first Centennial Conference victory of the 2025 campaign.
May's goal was the culmination of five minutes of consistent offensive pressure by the Mules midway through the first half. They tallied three shots in five minutes, two of which were on goal. The senior's scoring strike was from the 18 and ended up being Muhlenberg's closest shot of the game. Freshman
Kaylie Thran was the lone assist, adding to her team-leading point total of 10. It was May's second goal of the season and moved her into a tie for second most on the team with
Reilly Sullivan. The senior captain trails only Thran for the team lead in goals and points.
On the other end, the defense was stout in front of goalie
Dani Klingener; the Green Terror were able to put just two of their 10 shots on net. Klingener was excellent when called upon, saving both of those attempts en route to her first career win and second career shutout.
With the win, Muhlenberg leaves Bryn Mawr behind in the cellar of the Centennial Conference with its first three points of the season.
