The Muhlenberg field hockey team traveled south to Virginia for Fall Break, falling 3-0 to Washington and Lee in a game played at Shenandoah University.
The Mules (5-7) won an early penalty corner and took the first shot of the game with just over a minute elapsed, but that was their only shot of the first half. The Generals (8-3) scored a goal in the first quarter and put the game away with a pair of tallies in the third quarter.
Junior
Madison Horvath kept it a one-goal game by making a defensive save, the first of her career, in the second quarter.
The game was only the second regular-season contest at a neutral site in program history. The other was in 1993 when the Mules played Sacred Heart in a tournament at East Stroudsburg.
