Despite hitting two home runs, the Muhlenberg baseball team fell at Haverford, 9-5.
The Mules were trailing 3-1 in the fourth when freshman
Marc Quarrie hit a one-out double. One out later, freshman
Spencer Hobson delivered an RBI single, and the next batter, senior
Jonathan Toth, hit a two-run homer to put Muhlenberg in the lead. It was the 15th career home run for Toth.
Junior
Brendan Hughes (pictured above) hit his sixth career home run in the next inning to make it 5-3, but the Fords plated two runs in each of their last three at-bats to come back for the win.
Freshman
Luke Foley pitched a solid five innings, ending the third and fifth by striking out hitters with a runner in scoring position.Â
