The Muhlenberg men's basketball team shot just 31.4 percent from the field in a 70-49 loss at Franklin & Marshall.
With two weeks to go in the regular season, the Mules (7-14, 6-8) are in sixth place in the Centennial Conference, one game behind Ursinus and one ahead of Dickinson in the race for the final two playoff spots. Muhlenberg has one game remaining against the four teams at the top of the standings (first-place F&M, Johns Hopkins and Gettysburg and fourth-place Swarthmore), while Ursinus and Dickinson have two each. The Mules host Ursinus in their home finale on February 14.
The Diplomats (17-4, 12-2) broke open a 15-11 game midway through the first half by going on an 11-0 run and maintained a big advantage the rest of the way.
