The Muhlenberg women's basketball team fell to defending Centennial Conference champion Gettysburg, 72-58, in a game that was much closer than the score suggests.
The teams were tied at 47 a little more than a minute into the fourth quarter, and it was a five-point game with less than two minutes remaining. But the Bullets (10-3, 7-1) went 12-for-12 from the line in the last 1:32 to pull away.

Ava Connolly led the Mules (8-6, 3-6) with 13 points, while junior
Rachel Saxton finished with 11.
Muhlenberg opened up on fire, making five straight three-pointers, including three by Saxton
(pictured above), to take an early 17-7 lead. Gettysburg cut the margin to four by the end of the first quarter, and from then until 6:16 remaining in the fourth quarter, neither team led my more than four.

Emily Unger made three three-pointers to move into the top 10 on the program's all-time list with 94 for her career. Senior
Caroline Horst had a good all-around game with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
