The Muhlenberg men's soccer team scored in the first half to defeat TCNJ, 1-0.
The Mules (2-1) had the better of play for the majority of the game, rolling up an 18-3 advantage in shots, including 9-0 in the opening 45 minutes.
Muhlenberg finally cashed in on its ninth shot of the first half, when senior
Taylan Akdag shot an endline cross from freshman
Sam Roberts into the top of the net. It was the 17th career goal for Akdag and the first career point for Roberts
(pictured above).
The Mules came close to doubling their lead midway through the second half, but a blast from senior
Chris Richards hit the crossbar.

Ben Mulford needed to make only one save to record his ninth career shutout.
