The Muhlenberg field hockey team won its second straight road game, defeating FDU-Florham 2-1 in double overtime.
Senior
Katie Raab put an end to the marathon game off a penalty corner with just 1:24 remaining before the teams would have gone to a shootout. Raab took the insertion from sophomore
Erin DiSandro at the top of the circle, dribbled in and around a Devil defender, and shot the ball in for her seventh career goal.
The "Golden Goal" was the second for RaabÂ
(pictured above), who also ended a 2021 game against Bryn Mawr with an overtime goal. And it gave the Mules (2-2) the win in a game they dominated: They had a 35-4 advantage in shots, including 12-1 in the two overtime periods.
Sophomore
Abba Diglio gave Muhlenberg a 1-0 lead with her first goal of the season, assisted by Raab, 1:54 into the second quarter. FDU-Florham (1-2) tied the score in the third quarter.
