The Muhlenberg women's basketball team was outscored 22-7 in the fourth quarter and fell at McDaniel, 69-48.
The game was extremely close for the first three quarters, with neither team leading by more than seven points. Graduate student
Margaux Eripret gave the Mules (5-6, 4-2) a 32-31 lead early in the third quarter, and a steal and layup by sophomore
Rachel Saxton made it 34-31.
The Green Terror (6-5, 4-2) responded with a 10-0 run to take the lead for good and carried a 47-41 lead into the final period.
A three by Eripret 22 seconds into the fourth cut the margin in half, but the Mules went dry after that. They did not make another field goal until junior
Abigail Scheidel made a three with 1:39 remaining, and by that point McDaniel's lead had swelled to more than 20.
Sophomore
Emily Unger led Muhlenberg with 12 points, and Eripret
(pictured above) finished with 10. Sophomore
Jenna Stockfeder pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds and scored 6 points. Sophomore
Ava Connolly had 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and, for the second straight game, no turnovers.
