The Muhlenberg women's basketball team struggled on offense in the fourth quarter and fell at Gettysburg, 55-44.
The Mules (5-7, 4-3) were within three points at halftime and five points, 45-40, with one minute left in the third quarter against the Bullets (6-5, 3-3), who have played in the last five Centennial Conference championship games.
Gettysburg scored the next 10 points to pull away, however, as the Mules were kept off the board until a putback by sophomore
Jenna Stockfeder with 3:43 left in the fourth. Muhlenberg did not make another field goal and lost its second straight despite holding the Bullets to eight fourth-quarter points.
Stockfeder finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Graduate student
Margaux Eripret also pulled down 8 boards and led the Mules with 10 points.Â
Sophomore
Emily Vaughan (pictured above) had 5 points and a pair of steals.
