The Muhlenberg women's soccer team played nationally ranked Franklin & Marshall to a standstill for most of the first half before falling, 4-0.
The 23rd-ranked Diplomats (5-0-2, 1-0-1) scored the first goal of the game with just 2:54 remaining in the first half. It was still 1-0 before F&M put the game out of reach with three goals in the final 22 minutes.
Muhlenberg (1-5-1, 0-2), playing its second straight game against a 2021 Centennial Conference finalist and NCAA Tournament participant, had chances to score in both halves. The closest the Mules came was in the 35th minute, when the game was still scoreless and sophomore
Emily Cevallos took a shot that the F&M keeper parried over the crossbar.
