Despite allowing only five hits, the Muhlenberg baseball team lost in a night game at local rival DeSales, 7-2.
The Bulldogs (16-13) hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the second, and that was their only hit through the first six innings.
The pitching star of the game for the Mules was sophomore
Ryan Friesen, who came out of the bullpen to throw 4 2/3 hitless innings, striking out six.
Sophomore
Jack Kent (pictured above) drove in both Muhlenberg runs with a third-inning sacrifice fly and a seventh-inning single. The latter hit brought the Mules to within 3-2, but DeSales put the game away with four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Senior
Trevor Virno went 3-for-3 and scored both Muhlenberg runs.
