The Muhlenberg baseball team fell at home to Dickinson, 10-5, in the makeup of a game that was rained out on Friday.
As in the first meeting between the teams earlier in the week, the Red Devils (15-10, 3-3) scored multiple runs in the first inning, and led the whole way.
The Mules (11-12, 0-6) trailed 6-0 before plating four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Consecutive singles by junior
Caleb Tereska and sophomore
Jake Braet combined with a hit batter to load the bases with nobody out. After Muhlenberg's first run came in on a forceout, sophomore
Jonathan Toth doubled into left field to bring in two more. Senior
Danny Monzo capped the rally with an RBI single.
Dickinson hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth, but the Mules answered in the bottom of the inning when Tereska
(pictured above) hit one over the 365 sign in left-center for his second career home run.
The Red Devils tacked on three runs in the next half inning and held Muhlenberg scoreless for the rest of the game.
Toth finished 3-for-5 with his two RBI, and Tereska went 2-for-3 to cap a week in which he was 8-for-14 in four games.
Sophomore
Ryan Friesen retired all six batters he faced in relief in the final two innings.
