The Muhlenberg men's basketball team lost a game that came down to the final possession for the second time in four days.
McDaniel hit a three-pointer from the top of the key with 17 seconds left and held off the Mules on the final possession to pull out a 62-61 win. It was the second meeting of the week between the two teams; Muhlenberg won the first 83-52.
This game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than six points. There were three ties and six lead changes in the second half alone.Â
Sophomore
Giovanni Rubino made a layup with 3:39 left to give the Mules (7-14, 4-10) a 61-56 lead. The Green Terror (9-11, 4-10) scored the final six points of the game, however, blocking a potential game-winning shot in the final seconds.
Freshman
Jayson Williams-Johnson (pictured above) led Muhlenberg with 16 points. He also had 3 steals and blocked a pair of shots. Senior
Noah Watson scored 13 points, while Rubino and freshman
Luke Gordos finished with 11 apiece.
