For the second year in a row, the Muhlenberg baseball team opened its season with a 10-run win, defeating Cazenovia 13-3 at the Gallaudet Bison Classic.
The third through seventh hitters in the Mule lineup combined for seven hits, 11 runs scored and 10 RBI as the Mules overcame an early deficit with three big innings.

Quinn Rovner and senior
Donovan Brady combined on an eight-hitter on the mound. Rovner
(pictured above) tossed the first six innings, striking out a career-high five, to earn his first career win as a starting pitcher. Brady finished up to earn his first career save.
Muhlenberg trailed 2-1 and had two outs and nobody on in the top of the fifth before six straight batters reached base. A two-run double by senior

Christian Schwarz highlighted the five-run frame. Senior
Danny Monzo also hit an RBI single.

Ben Kollender smacked a two-run single in a three-run sixth that extended the Mules' lead to 9-2.
Muhlenberg broke the game open with four runs on only two hits - a triple by senior
Ryan Hebert and a single by Rodgers - in the eighth. The Mules took advantage of Wildcat wildness, with four straight batters reaching on either a walk or a hit by pitch.
Rodgers reached base in five of six plate appearances, scoring four runs, while Schwarz drove in four runs. Hebert scored three times.Â
