Muhlenberg sophomore Brandon Bowles was named Centennial Conference athlete of the week in wrestling.

Bowles went 4-0 to win the 157-pound bracket at the season-opening Alvernia Invitational for his first career tournament title. Ranked second in the Mideast Region at 149, he breezed through his first three matches on a first-minute pin, a technical fall and a 7-0 decision to set up a showdown with the third-ranked 157-pounder in the Southeast Region. The final was worthy of two ranked wrestlers, with Bowles scoring a takedown in sudden victory for a 3-1 win.

A 2022 national qualifier, Bowles has a career record of 14-3. He is the fourth different Mule to earn the CC weekly honor in the last two seasons.
