The Muhlenberg men's soccer team battled Haverford to a scoreless draw in the rain.
The Mules (3-4-3, 1-1-2), who had scored a goal in 13 straight games dating back to last season, started slowly and faced a 7-0 deficit in shots late in the first half. They came back and nearly evened up the shots (Haverford finished with a 17-16 edge), but none went in.
It was the Fords (2-6-3, 0-3-1) who had the best scoring chance in the game when they were awarded a penalty kick in the 69th minute. But freshman
Ben Mulford dove to his right to save the shot and preserve the tie.
Mulford made 4 saves in his second career shutout.
