The Mules showed off plenty of young talent in their 25-21, 25-15, 25-13 victory.
Of Muhlenberg's 41 kills, 34 came from players who were appearing in their first career match. The other seven came from
Megan Ray (pictured above), the lone senior on the team.
Freshman
Esmae Oehler led the way with 13 kills in 29 attempts, while sophomore
Christina Dalton added 7. Freshmen
Brooke Shiver and
Rachel Jacobs put down 5 kills each.
Sophomore
Alyssa Faville led the defense, which held Ramapo to .042 hitting, with 22 digs.
Junior
Emma Eglinton, the Mules' lone returning starter, recorded 23 assists, and freshman
Kelsey Miller added 13 in her first career match.
Muhlenberg came from behind to win the tight first set, pulling away by scoring the final three points, the last on a service ace by junior
Caleya Tereska. The Mules left comfortably throughout the second and third sets, finishing off the match with six aces in the final set. Tereska, Faville and sophomore
Julia Ficon each served up back-to-back aces to account for six of the Mules' last 13 points.
