The Muhlenberg men's soccer team opened Centennial Conference play with a 1-0 win at McDaniel.

The lone goal of the game came with just under 12 minutes left in the first half after junior Taylan Akdag was fouled at the top of the box. Junior Chris Richards buried the penalty kick for his 13th career goal.

The Mules (4-0-1, 1-0) came close to doubling their lead early in the second half when a shot by senior Stephen Carton hit the crossbar. 

Junior Brendan Duffy made the one goal stand up by making a career-high 7 saves, including one in the final minute.

Muhlenberg has outscored its five opponents by a 10-1 margin this year.
