Kristina Qualben swept the Centennial Conference's weekly awards by being named pitcher and player of the week, respectively.
Bridgers went 2-0 with a 0.44 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 16 innings in the first three appearances of her collegiate career. She pitched a three-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts vs. Eastern Nazarene, setting a school record for strikeouts by a freshman and becoming the first Mule freshman to toss a shutout in her first career start since 2010. Bridgers also hurled a four-hit complete game vs. Lebanon Valley and added two scoreless innings in relief vs. Penn State Brandywine. In the three outings, Bridgers held opponents to a .125 batting average.
Qualben hit .533 with a 1.200 slugging percentage, six runs scored and five RBI in the first four games of the season for the Mules. She had at least one extra-base hit in each of the four games, including a home run in the first two and a pair of doubles vs. Lebanon Valley.
At 3-1, Muhlenberg is off to its best start since winning the first four games of the 2014 season.
