The last time the Gettysburg women's lacrosse team visited Scotty Wood Stadium ranked No. 1 in Division III, Muhlenberg pulled off an 8-7 upset in 2017.
The Mules could not make history repeat, as the Bullets got off to a fast start and went on to win, 17-4.
Gettysburg, the two-time defending national champion, scored three goals in the first 2:35 and led 11-0 with 10 minutes left in the first half. Sophomore
Taliah Carson finally got the Mules (6-3, 1-1) on the board with the first of her two goals, but the margin never got lower than nine.
Junior
Jordan Segrave made seven of her 12 saves in the second half, when Muhlenberg held the Bullets (9-0, 2-0) to four goals. Segrave finished the game with 207 career saves, becoming the 10th player in program history to record at least 200.
