Pitching dominated the first eight innings of the game, with D'Ambrosia retiring 13 straight batters after allowing a single in the second inning. D'Ambrosia continued to dominate through the later innings and struck out the side in the ninth.

Skyler Petrie put runners on first and third with two outs. Sophomore
Sam Arnold drew a walk to load the bases, and Weiss then hit a hard grounder under the diving second baseman's glove to bring home Capra and give the Mules a 3-0 start in the Centennial Conference for the fourth time in program history.

D'Ambrosia
(pictured above) finished his complete game victory with 15 strikeouts, the most by a Muhlenberg pitcher since 1987. He only went four batters over the minimum, holding the Red Devils (5-12, 2-1 CC) to three hits and one walk. D'Ambrosia lowered his season earned-run average to 1.21 and has 40 strikeouts, good for first and second in the CC, respectively.
