The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team has named its three captains for the 2018 season. Wearing the "C" on their jerseys this spring will be senior midfielder and attack
Jordy Bonvini, junior defender
Morgan Weiss and junior midfielder
Amanda Tullo.
BonviniÂ
(pictured above left) earned her spot on the All-Centennial Conference first team and the Division III All-America second team with her remarkable play last season. She finished the year second in the Centennial Conference in points (78) while also setting a school record with 128 draw controls. She scored at least three goals in 14 of 17 games and was named Division III player of the week after scoring four goals in an 8-7 win over top-ranked eventual national champion Gettysburg. Bonvini enters her senior season with 151 career points.
Weiss
(pictured above center)Â started every game but one during the 2017 season and recorded 17 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. She collected a career-high four ground balls in the Gettysburg game and collected three ground balls and caused two turnovers against Buffalo State.
Tullo
(pictured above right) was named to the All-CC first team and All-Metro Region second team last year after scoring 40 goals (second on the team). She also was tied for the team lead in ground balls and fourth in points, assists and caused turnovers. She tallied multiple points in all but one game and recorded eight hat tricks. For her career, she has totaled 62 goals along with 21 assists for a total of 83 points.Â
Muhlenberg, which received votes in the Division III preseason poll, is scheduled to begin its 2018 season with a match against Morrisville State in Hilton Head, S.C., on Monday.
