The Muhlenberg volleyball team extended its winning streak to seven games, sweeping Centennial Conference foe Dickinson before beating DeSales in five sets.
Â
The seven-game winning streak is the longest for the Mules (13-2, 2-0 CC) since 2014 when they won 13 straight matches and eventually made it to the CC championship. Muhlenberg also now has two different win streaks of at least six games in the same season for the first time since 1994.

Sophomore
Maggie Enestvedt led the Muhlenberg charge with 26 kills on the day, including a match-high 17 in the win over DeSales. Sophomore
Tara Register recorded a double-double against DeSales, registering 15 kills and 16 digs. She also led the Mules with 18 digs against Dickinson.
Â
Junior setter
Shannon Hubert had 85 assists on the day to go with 26 digs and seven kills. Freshman libero
Maya Illovsky recorded double-digit digs in both matches, with 14 vs. Dickinson and a team-high 25 vs. DeSales. Junior

Â
The Mules started the day with a 25-20 first set win over the Red Devils. A kill by junior
Erica Schultz, one of nine for her in the match, started a late 5-0 rally that extend Muhlenberg's lead to 24-18. Schultz finished the match with a .615 hitting percentage, making only one error on 13 attacks.
Â
Muhlenberg kept the momentum into the second stanza, staking out an early advantage before a Register kill began a 7-0 run that ended with Muhlenberg up 16-7. The Mules built their lead to as much as 13 before Dickinson made a late surge to cut the deficit to seven. Schultz and Register blocked a Red Devil attack to end the stanza with Muhlenberg winning 25-17.
Â
The Red Devils took an early lead in the third set, but Muhlenberg climbed back and took its first lead at 18-17 thanks to another Register kill. With the Mules up 23-20, Hubert dumped an attack over the net for a kill and sophomore
Madison Forrest followed with a kill as well to win the set and the match for the Mules.
Â
Against the Bulldogs, Muhlenberg again built its lead early in the first set and rode its advantage to a 25-18 first stanza win. DeSales battled back to tie the match at 1-1 in the second set, with the two teams separated in the set by at most three points until DeSales went on a late 5-0 that the Mules could not overcome.
Â
The Bulldogs opened the third stanza with a lead as well, but Muhlenberg fought back to tie the set thanks to an Enestvedt kill and two of Illovsky's four aces in the match. Schultz then recorded a kill to later make it 7-6, and she and Hubert combined on a block to put the Mules up three. Muhlenberg kept its advantage at three through most of the set, eventually winning 25-23.
Â
DeSales made a late four-point rally to come back and take the fourth stanza, 25-23, forcing the teams to a decisive fifth set. Both squads traded points to make it 7-7 before a DeSales error and two straight Tornetta kills put the Mules in front for good. Kills by Enestvedt and Forrest and their combined block earned the last three points Muhlenberg needed to win the match.
