The Muhlenberg women's soccer team dominated everywhere but on the scoreboard, opening up the 2017 season with a 1-0 win at Gwynedd Mercy.

The Mules racked up a 22-2 advantage in shots and did not permit a shot on goal until the final minute.

The lone score of the game came with 16 minutes left in the first half when sophomore Danni Steigerwald knocked in the rebound of a saved shot by junior Makenzie O'Brien. Steigerwald also scored Muhlenberg's first goal of the 2016 season for a 1-0 win against Wilkes.

O'Brien (pictured above) had another near miss in the second half when her shot hit the crossbar.

Sophomore Libby Juliano made one save for her fourth career shutout.

The Mules have blanked five of their last seven opponents.
