The top two goal-scorers for Muhlenberg were named to the All-Metro Region team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Junior
Jordy Bonvini was selected to the first team, while sophomore
Amanda Tullo was a second-team pick. Both players, who also made the All-Centennial Conference first team, are eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-America team.
Bonvini
(pictured above left) led the Mules in scoring with 78 points on 63 goals and 15 assists en route to being named CC offensive player of the year. She recorded hat tricks in 14 of 17 games, with a high of seven against Haverford and five in an 8-7 upset of top-ranked Gettysburg, and also set a school and CC record with 128 draw controls. Bonvini ranks seventh in Division III in draw controls per game and 27th in goals scored.
Bonvini will enter her senior season seventh in CC history with 235 career draw controls and in the top 20 on Muhlenberg's all-time lists in career goals (112) and points (151).
Tullo
(pictured above right) was second on the Mules with 40 goals, adding 13 assists for a total of 53 points - fourth on the team and 23 more than she scored as a freshman. She scored at least two goals in 15 of 17 games and also tied for the team lead with 31 ground balls.Â
The two all-region picks tie the program record previously achieved in 1996, 1997, 2009 and 2014. Bonvini is the fifth different Muhlenberg player to earn first-team all-region honors.
The Mules finished the 2017 season with a 13-4 record, tying the school record for wins. They set school marks for CC wins in a season (7) and longest winning streak (8) and received the program's first national and NCAA regional rankings.
