Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Feaster Reaches Career Milestone

Muhlenberg men's lacrosse freshman Frankie Feaster scored a hat trick and also passed a career milestone as his team fell 19-9 at McDaniel.

The Mules (2-9, 0-5 CC) played a strong first half, leading 3-2 through one period and keeping the game at a one-goal margin into halftime. Feaster scored the first Muhlenberg goal to tie the game early, and after a McDaniel goal, Feaster assisted freshman Scott Fayan's goal that knotted the score at 2-2. Muhlenberg only needed 24 seconds to take its first lead, with sophomore Steve Chenworth finding the back of the net off a pass from freshman Matt Allegretti.

Muhlenberg stretched its lead to 4-2 when freshman Bobby McLoughlin scored when his team was a man down. The Green Terror (6-8, 1-5) then ripped off three straight goals before Feaster's second score tied the game again at 5-5. McDaniel scored again with less than a minute remaining to take a 6-5 lead into halftime and then outscored the Mules in the second half 13-4 to pull away for the win.

Feaster led Muhlenberg with four points, recording his third hat trick of the season to go with his assist. He also collected a team-best five ground balls, giving him 101 on the season and making him the 13th different Mule to reach the 100 career ground balls mark. He is also only the second Muhlenberg player ever to record 100 ground balls in a season.

Fayan and junior Will Walter (pictured above) each netted a pair of goals, the first multi-goal games of their careers, and freshman Jack Colt assisted on McLoughlin's first-half score. Junior Lance Gibson saved 15 shots in goal, his fourth straight game with at least 10 saves, and freshman Garrett Pope stopped two shots in six minutes.
