Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women's Lacrosse Wins 10th

Senior Nora Fisher scored a career-high four goals and reached a milestone as the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team rolled to its 10th win of the season, 20-10 at McDaniel.

The Mules (10-2, 4-1), who set a school record with 13 wins last year, have reached double digits in victories in back-to-back seasons for the second time in program history. The 10-win season is the sixth for Muhlenberg, all in the last 12 years.

Fisher (pictured above) added an assist to run her career points total to 100. She is the third Mule player this season to reach the century mark in career points.

The first two added to their totals with more big numbers against the Green Terror (4-8, 0-5). Junior Jordy Bonvini scored four goals for her sixth consecutive hat trick and added six draw controls, becoming the 15th player in Centennial Conference history with 200 or more draw controls. Senior Stephanie D'Ascoli scored a game-high seven points on two goals and five assists.

Bonvini also moved close to another milestone, as her four goals gave her 96 for her career. Senior Kelsey Nagle netted six points on two goals and four assists, finishing the game with a career total of 199 points.

Sophomore Amanda Tullo scored three goals and added game highs of four ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Sophomore Emma Carmody opened the scoring just 55 seconds after the opening draw, starting a run of five goals for the Mules in the first eight minutes. Muhlenberg led 9-2 with 16:33 left in the first half. McDaniel cut the gap to four, 11-7, at halftime, but the Mules scored the first six goals of the second half to put the game out of reach.

The 20-goal game was the fourth of the season for the Mules, who recorded assists on 14 of their 16 non-free-position goals.

Senior Sara Allison stopped five shots to record her 20th career win as a goalie.
