The Muhlenberg softball team had a tough day offensively against one of the top pitching staffs in Division III, getting shut out twice in a doubleheader loss at eighth-ranked Moravian, 4-0 and 6-0.
Junior
Haley Fedak piched well in the first game, not allowing a hit through the first three innings and retiring 10 of the first 11 hitters she faced. In the fourth, however, one bad pitch resulted in a three-run home run that broke the game open.
Freshman
Nicole Bergamo tossed two scoreless inning in relief in the nightcap.
Senior
Courtney Simon (pictured above) was one of three Mules with a hit in each game, along with sophomore
Kristina Qualben and freshman
Sydney Carey.
The Greyhounds are fifth in Division III in team ERA and have allowed only 31 runs in 26 games this season.
