The Muhlenberg softball team faced tough pitching and dropped its first two Centennial Conference home games of the season to Ursinus.
The Mules (9-13, 5-3 CC) fell behind early and could not make up the deficit in each game to the Bears (11-15, 3-5 CC), who went on to win 5-1 in game one and 6-1 in game two.
Sophomore
Kristy Selby led the Mules offensively, going 2-for-3 in the first game and adding another single in the later game to finish the day 3-for-6. Junior
Hanna Caiola (pictured above) laced a double to left center to plate the Muhlenberg run in the first game, and sophomore
Allyson Sweeney finished 2-for-3 in the early game as well.
Junior
Haley Fedak pitched her second straight complete game in game one, only giving up two earned runs while striking out eight, one away from tying her career high.
